Louise McKay Card, "Gigi" 86, passed away April 12th, 2012 at her winter home in Sun City, Arizona.
She was born May 12th, 1925 to the late Thomas E. McKay and Fawn Brimhall McKay. She grew up in Huntsville, Utah and lived most of her life at the mouth of Mill Creek Canyon looking up at Mount Olympus in Salt Lake City, Utah.
She was preceded in death by her husband Dr. Richard Y. Card in May 2004, and her sisters, Flora Crawford, Fawn Brodie, Barbara Smith; and her brother Thomas McKay.
She is survived by her children Roger Card and his wife Georgia of Fountain Hills, Arizona, Steven Card and his wife Betsy of Reno, Nevada, and Cathy Brimley and her husband Rick of Salt Lake City, Utah; grandchildren Tanya Hoffman, Sean Card, Lexi and Jackie Card, Dominique Jones, Lisa Rock, Katie Allred, Ryan Brimley; and great grandchildren Taylor Liniger, Braedan and Gavin Hoffman, Dalton and Dalaney Card, and Nathaniel, Nicholas, and Matthew Rock.
Those who knew her best revel at the way she seized life with beauty, enthusiasm, tenacity, boundless creativity, and love. Family and friends sorely miss her.
Her life will be celebrated from 6 to 8 pm on Saturday, April 21st at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City, where an informal service will be held at the end of the evening. Interment will be at Wasatch Lawn Cemetery, 3401 S. Highland Dr, Salt Lake City.
