Anna Mullen was born in 1863 on family farm in Portage, Wisconsin. She grew up there and later on the family farm in Watopa, Minnesota. From there she moved with her family to Wabasha, Minnesota where she was living in 1880. She appeared again in 1895, living with the family of her sister Mary Mullen Fosdick in Saint Paul, Minnesota together with her brothers, Edward Henry and Charles Frederick. At that time she was using the name, Catherine. What became of Anna (Catherine) after that is unknown. Very likely she was married but no records could be found with her married name. The photo shown appears to have been taken around 1890 when she was 27 years old.
