Bio

My name is Phil Hord Mullen, a descendant of the original Hord family that emigrated to Virginia from England in 1702. My line is (Phyllis Irene Hord, Alvin Hord, Luzern Hord, Andrew Jackson Hord, Nathaniel Greene Hord, Peter Hord II, Peter Hord I, John Hord). I live in Angels Camp, CA in the heart of the Gold Rush Territory of 1849.

I truly enjoy being a FAG member. I rarely add memorials for anyone who is not a friend, acquaintance or a member in my family tree. I am not interested in setting any records as some members seem to be. However, I strongly believe that it is important to memorialize everyone who has died so I don’t want to be too critical of other members. What I enjoy mostly is researching and interconnecting memorials of family members over many generations. In many cases I have been quite successful in connecting families for many generations which is very satisfying.

I believe strongly in following FAG rules and regulations especially regarding duplicates. I have resolved hundreds of duplicate memorials however I have too often had to rely on the help of FAG management who feel as I do about this subject. I am sorry if I have offended any FAG members concerning duplicates. According to FAG rules, I will transfer any of my memorials unless they are immediate family members.

I very much appreciate FAG members who take and post photos I have requested in the past. There have been many and I want to express my deep appreciation for their services. These members truly make FAG such a valuable service.

I am always interested in any information regarding the Hord family ancestry. You can contact me through findagrave or email me at:
