∼A memorial service to celebrate the life of Judith "Judy" Louise (Jackson) Baucom is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, December 1st, at the First Baptist Church in Ringling, Okla., to be officiated by Dr. Ray Davis of Whitehouse, Texas, and the Rev. Glenn Hejny of Ennis, Texas. Arrangements are under the care of Alexander Funeral Home and Crematory of Ringling.
Born July 20, 1942, in Ardmore, Okla., to L.B. and Alzada (Gilcrease) Jackson, she departed this life on November 10, 2012, in Tyler, Texas.
Judy was raised in Sante Fe, N.M., and Ringling, Okla., where she graduated high school in 1960. She was an accomplished artist, devoted wife, mother and grandmother (Nana). She loved to travel and spend her time with family and friends.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Larry B. and Daniel Green Jackson; and sister, Dixie Anita (Jackson) Sullivan.
Survivors include her loving husband of 52 years, Charles Baucom of Brownsboro, Texas, and Bella Vista, Ark.; daughters, Dana (Baucom) Langer and husband, Phillip of Ennis Texas, Dawn Baucom of Lewisville, Texas, and Shelley (Baucom) Bender and husband, Tim of Whitehouse, Texas; grandchildren, Chelsea Baucom, T.J. and Reagan Langer and Daniel and Austin Bender; special niece, Jamie Clayton of Lewisville, Texas; as well as, numerous other nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to Hospice of East Texas Foundation, 4111 University Blvd., Tyler, TX 75701-6623 or the ALS Texas Chapter at alsa.org.
Special thanks goes to the staff of Healthsouth Rehab and the Hospice of East Texas.
