Marie P. Greenplate

Marie P. Miller Greenplate, 70, of 121 Pine Springs Blvd., retired school cook, died at 11:15 p.m. Friday at her home. She was the wife of John S. Greenplate.
The service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Sauter Funeral Home, 175 N. Main St., Spring Grove. Burial will be in the Jefferson Cemetery, Codorus Township. Viewing will be 7 to 9 tonight at the funeral home with memorial rites at 8:30 by the Daughters of America.
Mrs. Greenplate was born in Codorus Township, the daughter of the late Paul L. and Lizzie Grote Miller.
She retired from Spring Grove Area School District as a cook at the Thomasville Elementary School. She was a member of Zion (Shaffer's) United Lutheran Church, where she served approximately 45 years on the church choir. She was a former president of Nashville Fire Company Auxiliary, and was a member of York County Firemens' Association Auxiliary.
Mrs. Greenplate also is survived by two daughters, Loretta M. Glatfelter, Box 393, Glen Rock RD 3, and Janet E. Betlyon, Jefferson; five grandchildren; a brother, Paul J. Miller, Lehigh Acres, Fla., and two sisters, Mildred Jones, 901 Baltimore St., Hanover, and Alverta Wise, 25 N. Alwine St.
Officiating at the service will be her pastor, the Rev. Clarence C. Moore.
