DELMO WILSON, 39, DIES OF GUNSHOT NECK WOUND FOLLOWING A FAMILY DISPUTE

Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 5, for Delmo (Rooster) Wilson, 39, of Cadiz, who was fatally shot Friday April 1.

According to state police, his wife, Dorothy, has been charged with first degree manslaughter and is out on $10,000 bond.

Wilson reportedly was shot in the neck with a pistol about 11 pm Friday, following an apparent family dispute. He was dead on arrival at Trigg County Hospital.

The funeral services were held at 1 pm Tuesday, at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, with burial in the Little River Cemetery.

Surviving besides his widow are four sons, Kendall, Stacy, Chantley and Erick Scott Wilson; three daughters, Eleanor, Cazander, and Delresa Wilson; his mother, Mrs. Katherine Wilson; six sisters, Mrs. Alsie Mae Love, Miss Sarah Jane Wilson, Mrs. Ruth Grubbs, Mrs. Mattie Body, Mrs. Sudie Ann Grubbs, and Miss Nora Jean Wilson; and a grandmother, Mrs. Mary Davis, all of Cadiz.

Funeral arrangements were made by the Babbage Funeral Home in Hopkinsville.
