John E. Dikeman Jr., 77, of 1623 Caroline St., died Sunday, March 15, 1987, in St. Francis Medical Center..

He was born Oct 6, 1909 in La Crosse to John and Louise (Goyette) Dikeman..

On Oct. 28, 1939, he married Mildred Adams..

He was employed by the Electric Auto-Lite Co. for 31 years, by the Trane Co., for 15 years and for 11 years by the Exchange State Bank..

Survivors are his wife; three daughters, Joyce Wiley, Hazel Miller and Carolyn Dikeman, all of La Crosse; a son, James of Appleton; his mother of La Crosse; 10 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; four sisters, Ruth Chesebro, louise Scott, Evelyn Eno, and Frances Konetchy, all of La Crosse; and three brothers, Richard of Spokane, Wa., and Clifford and George, both of La Crosse..

He was preceded in death by his father in 1955 and a brother in World War II..

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Trinity Lutheran Church. The Rev. Ted Dewald will officiate. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery..

Friends may call at the Dickinson Funeral Homes Gillette Street Chapel on Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m. and at the church Wednesday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m..

Memorials may be given to Trinity Lutheran Church.
