Death of Robert Dunlap.
Robert Dunlap, the second son of John Dunlap of this city, died on March 23, 1893 at the home of his brother-in-law Mr. T. A. Stevenson in Jefferson township aged about 39 years. Mr. Dunlap was born in Richland county, Ohio, perhaps in the years 1854. He came with his father to Ringgold county in 1858. Here he grew up in business, and eventually became a most active and successful business man in the way of buying and shipping stock of all kinds. In his prime he was thought to be one of the best judges of stock in the county. He has been declining in health for some time, and feel under the power of consumption. He has lived a single life, and spent his last days with his sister, Mrs. Stevenson. The funeral took place from the residence, March 24, 1893, conducted by Rev. J. P. Gibson and he was laid at rest in the Eugene cemetery.
