1900 - Snowball, Calf Creek Twp., Searcy Co., AR: Nellie SCOTT and a son, John M. SCOTT are listed in the census. Nellie is
listed as head-of-household and a widow.

I need to do more research on the death of John Thomas (Tom) SCOTT, the information I received from Rootsweb listed his
death date as March 07,1918 in Wayne Co, TN. However Lisa PARTON's great-aunt Suzie (her granddaddy Homer's sister)
told another relative that Tom died during the Land Rush and was buried somewhere around Fort Gibson, Muskogee Co., OK. --

Nellie C. BREWER, daughter of Henry J.(Zake) BREWER and Susan H. HAYS-BREWER, was born in 1852 in Wayne Co., TN.
Susan was living with Caroline MAUPIN-HAYES (her mother). In 1860 they were living in District 10, Cypress Inn, Wayne Co.,
TN.

1868 AUG 9 - Nellie C. BREWER married John Thomas SCOTT in Wayne County, TN.

1890 - Indian Territory/OK: Son, Zachariah, has moved. Possibly the whole family were in Indian Territory in the 1890s.

It is believed that the family moved to Searcy Co., AR before 1900.

1900 - Snowball, Calf Creek Twp, Searcy Co., AR: Nellie is listed as a widow living with a son, John M. SCOTT. The census
said that both mother and son could read, but neither could write.

1935 - Welling, Cherokee Co., OK: Nellie is buried in the Caney Cemetery.
Her son Samuel Wayne SCOTT and his wife Mary Ellen REED-SCOTT are buried there as well.

"Bird" and Nellie had the following children:

William married Lila about 1900. Lila was born in 1876 in Indian Territory.

4 M iii. John M. SCOTT was born in Jul 1875 in , Wayne Co., TN. He died in 1958 in Stilwell, Adair Co., OK and was buried in Caney Cemetary - Welling, Cherokee Co., OK.

John was employed as Farmer.
