I became infatuated with FindaGrave because of the terrible disrepair and disinterest I saw going on in our old country cemeteries and the destruction being wreaked in the big city cemeteries by vandals. At least on FindaGrave we can photographically preserve the history of our families for future generations before nature, neglect or needless demolition of our relatives resting places are destroyed. I got started with a little cemetery where my great-great-grandparents were buried, and got my mother hooked - now I've created a monster!
