Carl W. Tepe was born May 26, 1923, to Frederick and Pearl Tepe in Dodge City, Kan., and moved to Texas shortly after. He grew up in Canadian. Carl was good at all sports and loved to golf, fish and hunt. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. His plane was shot down and he became a POW, and he was also on the 90-day death march. Carl retired after 30 years of service as a chief master sergeant in the U.S. Air Force. He retired again from the U.S. Postal Service after 19 years.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ed Tepe; sisters, Norma Tepe, Virginia Gaylord and C. Maxine Strickland.

Survivors: Wife, Peggy Tepe; daughters, Cynthia "Cindy" Higgins and husband, Bill, Victoria "Vickie" Smith and Carleen Tepe, all of Fort Worth; brother, Frank Tepe and wife, Lola, Corky Tepe and Mary Radiford; grandchildren, Christy King, Cathy Hudkins, Theresa Adair and husband, Andy, and Michelle Perez and husband, Fernando; great-grandchildren, Kyle and Dylan Evans, Ian King, Lauren Green, Skylar Southard, Luis and Anna Perez; and many nieces and nephews.
