"I'm doing researches about this airman and his plane downed during WWII in TAMERVILLE ,near Valognes and Cherbourg in Normandy (France )on July 21st 1944.He died in the crash of his P51 F-6-C .He was flying from AAF station 465 UK to the french strip A9 at Le-MOLAY near one of the D-Day landing beaches .He was initialy burried in a temporary cemetery near Sainte Mere Eglise ,and then we lost him .He was married with Mrs Margaret J PIATT and they lived 347 Bellfontaine Avenue Nw in CANTON OHIO."
