19th Century Soldiers of Marshall County

The War of the Rebellion was a crucial turning point for our country. Almost every man of age volunteered for service. Vast numbers did not return. Thousands have been forgotten, and many more graves have fallen into disrepair, neglect, and have disappeared altogether. Original markers nornally did not have dates inscribed, so that information is in danger of being lost to the ages. This virtual cemetery was created to honor them, Spanish-American Soldiers, and soldiers of other 19th century conflicts. If you know of a grave that is unmarked or the stone is broken or weathering away, do what you can to preserve that soldier's legacy, that he may be remembered.
