Gold Medal of Military Valor Recipient. A Carabiniere and Martyr of the Fosse Ardeatine massacre. Giordano served in the Legion Rome as a Carabiniere Corazziere. He attended the Scuola allievi ufficiali of Florence but due to the arrival of the Italian armistice of 8 September 1943, was unable to complete the course and decided to go to Rome. The city was occupied by German troops, and Giordano soon joined the partisan group formed with the disbanded soldiers of the Carabinieri Corps commanded by General Filippo Caruso. Giordano was taken prisoner by the Nazi police at the end of January 1944. For two months he was subjected to torture who endured stoically and finally murdered at the Fosse Ardeatine. He received post-mortem the Gold Medal of Military Valor with this judgment, "The young carabiniere indifferent to the risks to which he exposed himself, valiantly brought to completion the numerous acts of war entrusted to him".
