Bluefield Icon. A longtime local coal operator, he shall be better remembered for his photographs commemorating important people and events at Bluefield and Graham High Schools. Raised in Bluefield, he graduated from Beaver High School, attended Kentucky Military Institute, and served with the US Army Air Corps on Guam during World War II. Following the conflict Mr. Easley engaged in the coal business for many years while simultaneously sharpening his photographic skills. After retirement he turned his hobby into a profession, taking many notable pictures and always making his own prints. Mr. Easley was a 64 year member of the Bluefield Rotary Club and a Paul Harris Fellow as well as a Trustee Emeritus of both First Baptist Church, Bluefield, and Bluefield College. At his demise from the infirmities of advanced age many of his photographs were displayed in places of honor.
