Enlisted February 12th 1862 in the 13th Ohio Battery Light Artillery.
Fought at the Battle of Shiloh.
Discharged November 26th 1862.
Reenlisted as a Substitute October 4th 1864 in Company F, 41st Ohio Infantry.
Discharged May 16th 1865 at Camp Dennison, Ohio.

Patrick and wife emigrated to the US in 1845, bringing their children and settling in West Liberty, Ohio. In 1850 they removed to Washington Township, Union County, Ohio.
