Remains of Will Devine Brought Here For Burial
The remains of William Devine whose death in Minneapolis was briefly mentioned in last week's Herald were brought to Belle Plaine Friday morning for interment in Sacred Heart cemetery.
Deceased died at the hospital on Sept. 10 from injuried suffered the previous day in a fall down the stairs in his home. He ws 80 years old.
Will Devine was born and raised in Belle Plaine, a son of those distinguished pioneers, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Devine Sr. After he attained manhood he went to work in a railroad office in Mpls. in which activity he was engaged for many years. His marriage to Miss Anna Oberlies took place at St. Anthony's church in Minneapolis.
Besides his wife, he is survived by one brother Robert and one sister Julia, both of Belle Plaine.
Funeral services were conducted at nine Friday morning at St. Anthony church, Mpls., and following the mass the remains were brought to the old parish cemetery in Belle Plaine for interment.
Pall bearers were 6 nephews: Thomas, James and Robert Devine, sons of his brother James; and Patrick, Emmett and Willie Devine, sons of his brother Robert.
