Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday at the Ohde Funeral Home in Manning, with Rev., Joel Wright, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church.
Mr Dietz, son of George and Agnes Arp Dietz, was born March 13, 1893 near Manning. He attended rural schools and graduated from Manning High School.
His marriage took place on November 14, 1919. He farmed in Idaho for 7 years before returning to Maning to make their home. He served as secretary of the Carroll County Mutual Insurance Co. from 1938-1960. He also worked for the Dultmeier Mfg Co. of Manning. He served 7 years as Carroll Co. Supervisor and was a member of the Rotary Club and the Masonic Lodge of Manning.
Surviving are his wife, Emma and three daughters; Mrs T. H. (Neva) Thompson of Stockton, Ca., Mrs Harley (Norma) Feldick of Iowa City and Mrs LaRue Acker of Mankato, Mn. 10 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and a sister, Mrs Mabel Opperman of Manning.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers.
