Mrs Agnes Dietz of Manning died
Manning, September 20--Agnes Dietz, nee Arp, was born June 11, 1866, in Scott county, Iowa. She was reared to womanhood in that community and united in marriage to George H. Dietz December 13, 1888. To this union were born three sons and one daughter, of whom one son died in infancy, and one at the age of four years. One son, Albert, of Blackfoot, Idaho and one daughter, Mabel, Mrs Emil Opperman, of Manning survive her, besides five grandchildren, three sisters and two brothers. In the spring of 1889 the young couple came to Carroll county, settling on a 240-acre farm three miles northeast of town where they lived for 31 years
Seven years ago they moved to Manning.
Funeral services were conducted from the Presbyterian church last Thursday, Rev. E.E. Zimmerman of West Bend officiating. Interment was made in the Manning Cemetery.
