Her parents were of German descent, originally from Poland and of the Lutheran faith. The immigrated to Rivne, Volyhnia, Russia where their oldest son Julius was born. Then the immigrated to Gretna, Manitoba and then settled in Pembina County, ND as farmers.
Her siblings were: Julius, Emma, Eva, Helen "Lena", and Albert (who died as an infant).
She met Emmett Fox in North Dakota, they married and raised four children: Betty, Fran, Bob and Margie. Emmett inherited his aunts home so they moved to Minneapolis.
She enjoyed being a grandmother but was only able to meet 4 of her 16 grandchildren. Bob, Jim Church and Terry, Dianne Godbout were her pride and joy before her sudden death in 1947.
