Annie Cowan was the older sister of my great-great-grandmother, Sarah J. ("Jennie") Cowan Smith.
Annie never married, and is shown living with her parents in the 1880 Census at 328 South 12th Street, at age 37.
Her occupation is given as teacher, as it was in 1870.
At the time of her death at age 48, she lived at 3822 Baring Street. Her cause of death was "heat exhaustion."
