Bethia, refers to a granddaughter named Mary Corwin in her will. Mathias Corwin had a wife named Mary, maiden name otherwise not identified, and children named Jacob and Gershom - names of who would be uncles, if Mathias Corwin were married to a daughter of Jacob Aldrich. Also, Mathias Corwin had a daughter named Mary, who married Joshua Corwin. Also, Mathias Corwin married, as his second wife, a former sister-in-law of Jemima Aldrich through her brother, Nathan Benjamin, one of the Jacob Aldrich daughters, which demonstrates the families at least knew one another. Or, the wife of Mathias Corwin who would have been the mother of the granddaughter Mary, may have been an earlier, unrecorded marriage for one of the other Aldrich daughters.
