Ella Thomasson was the daughter of Thomas K. Thomasson and Matilda Jane McClure. She was born in Monroe County, Tennessee. Her mother died when she was 3 years of age. Along with her father and siblings, the family left Tennessee and moved to Texas ca 1873.
Ella was first married to Mr. J. M. McKinney on 24 August 1884 in Fannin County, Texas. They had one son, James (Jimmy) Young McKinney. It is believed Mr. McKinney died.
She next married to Mr. Hogg and they had one son, Willard Hogg, before they divorced.
There is no headstone for Ella's grave, however her Death Certificate states she was buried at Grove Hill. My father also went to the Cemetery and there is a record of her being buried there and her plot can be located.
