WINTERVILLE - Mr. Chesterfield Hawkins, 79, of 2540 Rosewood Drive, died Monday, Nov. 13, 2006 at Beverly Health Care Center, Greenville. Service will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Mitchell's Funeral Chapel in Greenville officiated by Elder Canaan Fleming. Burial will follow in Homestead Memorial Gardens in Greenville. He was a Pitt County native and attended the county schools. He was a World War II Veteran. He is survived by two sisters, Pastor Inetta Fleming of Winterville and Annie Floyd of Bronx, N.Y.; brother, Herbert Hawkins of New York, N.Y.; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. There will be a walk through viewing held Saturday at noon until 1 p.m. at Mitchell's Funeral Home in Greenville. Arrangements by Mitchell's Funeral Home in Greenville.
