LEONA E. TREDER

Mrs. Earl (Leona E.) Treder, 69, of 1372 N. ?2rd St., Manitowoc, died Saturday,
October 29, 1988.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. John United Church of Christ,
Manitowoc. Rev. Gerald Schrankler will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen
Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Treder was born May 29, 1919, in the Town of Newton, Wisconsin, daughter
of the late Robert and Mary Prigge Hallwachs. She graduated from Lincoln High
School with the Class of 1937. Mrs. Treder was employed at various places
including Northern Wisconsin Produce Company, Redeemer Lutheran Church, Alting
Printing Company and finally for the City of Manitowoc with the City Clerks Office,
where she retired in 1981. She married Charles Windus in 1938. He preceded her in
death in 1943. She later married Earl G. Treder, June 22, 1945, in Manitowoc,
Wisconsin. Mrs. Treder did volunteer work at
Holy Family Medical Center, Manitowoc. She was a member of St. John United Church
of Christ and Parkinson's Disease Support Group.
Survivors include her husband, Earl, 4 children, James Windus of New Mexico,
Nancy (Rex) Jeffries of California, Janis King of Manitowoc and Billy Treder of
Manitowoc; two brothers, Edgar Hallwachs of Manitowoc and Gordon (Dorothy)
Hallwachs of Manitowoc; a sister, Edna Krause of Sheboygan; a grandson, Brett
Holbrook of California; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death
by a brother, Harley Hallwachs.
Friends may call at Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
this Monday and Tuesday at 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and then at St. John United Church
of Christ, noon Tuesday until the time of services. Memorials appreciated to St.
John United Church of Christ or The Parkinson's Foundation.
