Mother: Arena Bell (Fisher) McCusker

Mary Plessinger, 85, passed away Saturday, July 31, 1999. She was born in Fulton County, Pa., and had been a Peninsula resident for 55 years. Mrs. Plessinger was a member of Huntington Avenue Mennonite Church until she moved to Gloucester County, where she attended the Friends Church. She was a loving, caring and devoted mother and grandmother and will be sadly missed by all.
Survivors include two sons, William D. Plessinger, and his wife, Pat, of Bolivia, N.C., and Francis R. Plessinger of Hampton; and four daughters, Louise Treadway of Williamsburg, Mary Miller of Hampton, Dorothy Elston, and her husband, Burwell, of Gloucester, and Nancy Jenkins, and her husband, Lewis, of Gloucester; one sister, Catherine Hull of Kerneysville, W.Va. Also surviving are 18 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, two great- great- grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Peninsula Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Warwick River Mennonite Church by the Rev. Lloyd Weaver. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
