Harold was the 8th child out of 11 that Lon Herndon and Betty Alice Weeks had.Harold had polio that affected his arm and brain.Betty died in 1925 and Lon remarried 5 yrs later to Ethel Lindsey and she helped to look after him and several of the other children.Ethel and Lon also had 4 other children.Harold lived out his last days at a nursing home in Verona,MS where he died at the age of 65.
