Irene Ellsworth , age 91 of Hastings, died Wednesday April 6, 2011 at the home of her granddaughter, Tracy Jo Scobey. She was born October 10, 1919 in Buno, Ohio, the daughter of Emery and Agnes Lewis. Irene was a Homemaker who enjoyed fishing, gardening, mushrooming and being outdoors. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond, and her son, Melvin Douglas Scobey November 30, 2010. Irene is survived by two sons, George Scobey of Grand Rapids and Rob Volkers of Comstock Park; a daughter, Mary Lee Mozes of Washington state; brother, Joe Lewis of Hastings; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at 1 p.m. at Coman Cemetery on Shaw Lake Rd. Yankee Springs Twp. Rev. Kenneth R. Vaught will officiate the service. Arrangements are by the Girrbach Funeral Home in Hastings.
