Donald Seay, 83, Bardstown

Donald Seay, 83, of Bardstown, died Friday, July 20, 2012, at Flaget Memorial Hospital in Bardstown. He was born Oct. 6, 1928, in Bloomfield. He retired after 20 years in the U.S. Air Force as a meteorologist, and worked 10 years in the civil service as a meteorologist at Warner Robbins Air Force Base in Georgia. He was a member of Woodlawn United Methodist Church and a member of the Masonic Lodge in Macon, Ga.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Virginia Seay; four sisters, Mayme Brewer, Lavone Crume Montgomery, Mabel Thomas and Margaret Seay; and two brothers, Leon Seay and Elbert Seay.

He is survived by his wife, Doris Snider Seay of Bardstown; one daughter, Deborah Snyder of Versailles; two sons, Douglas Seay of Washington, D.C. and David Seay of Versailles; one sister, Betty Ann Bubier of Cocoa Beach, Fla.;
three brothers; Harold Seay of Mount Washington, Joe Seay of Bloomfield and Billy Seay of Cocoa Beach, Fla.; two grandchildren, Brooke Snyder of New York City and Emily Seay of Versailles; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 24, 2012, at Barlow Funeral Home with burial in Lebanon National Cemetery with the Rev. Jim Hitt officiating.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Monday, July 23, 2012, and 9-11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Donations may go to Woodlawn United Methodist Church or Hospice of Nelson County.
