The funeral was Thursday, Nov. 25, in Andrews Church of God, followed by burial in Oak Ridge Memorial Cemetery, directed by Andrews Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home.
Mrs. Ackerman was born in Williamsburg County, Aug. 29, 1921, a daughter of Blackwell Gordon Martin and Mary Jane Ackerman Martin. She was a member of the Andrews Church of God and Woodmen of the World.
Survivors were: three sons, Dewitt W. Ackerman of Georgetown, E. B. Ackerman of Andrews, and Joe H. Ackerman of Gastonia, N.C.; three daughters, Argerine A. Blakely of Georgetown, Delloris A. Hill of Lexington, and Diane A. Mills of Kings Mountain, N. C.; a brother, Daniel O. Martin of Georgetown; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
