Professional Basketball Player. For seven seasons (1968 to 1975), he played at the guard and forward positions in the American Basketball Association with the Oakland Oaks, Washington Capitols, Florida Floridians, Denver Rockets and San Diego Conquistadors. Born Warren Edward Armstrong, he attended Central High School in Kansas City and while there, he established himself as one of the greatest basketball players in the school's history. He continued his athletic excellence at Wichita State University and during his years as a Shocker, he earned All-Missouri Conference stats three-times. Selected by the New York Knicks during the fourth round of the 1968 NBA Draft, he instead opted to play in the year-old ABA and signed with the Oakland franchise whose roster at the time included Hall of Fame player Rick Barry and Larry Brown (Hall of Fame NBA Coach). Jabali made an immediate impact one the league with his 1,530 points which earned him Rookie of the Year honors (1968-1969). Jabali achieved All-Star status four-times (1970, 1972 to 1974) and received All-Star MVP honors with his 16 points and 7 assists during that contest. In 447 regular season games, he compiled 7,666 points, 2,985 rebounds and 2,389 assists. After retiring from basketball, he moved to Miami and worked as an elementary school teacher and youth counselor. He was inducted into the Wichita State University Athletics Hall of Fame in 1985.
