Obituary - Dr. John Martin died on Wednesday at his home in Islip after a long illness. He was born 66 years ago in Brooklyn, the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Martin, who moved to Sayville when he was very young.
He was a graduate of the Sayville High School, Jamaica State Normal School, and the Dental Department of the Baltimore Medical Collage. After practicing for two years in the Bronx, Mr. Martin moved to Islip where he carried on his profession until 1936, when he was forced to retire because of ill health.
Surviving are his wife, Ada Jones Martin; a brother, Joseph, of Sayville; and a sister, Mrs. Thomas Jenkins, also of Sayville.
Funeral services will be held from the home at 58 Willow Avenue, tomorrow afternoon at two o'clock followed by interment in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Patchogue.
