He was a jolly man despite the ill luck that befell him and his family. He married Anna Valencourt who was called Annie Frank. They had 8 children including twins that died. This family lived in squalor. Even though Frank worked hard, Annie could not manage. She didn't care well for the children and kept a most untidy house.
