PAMPA - Mary Jenks Summers, 81, died Saturday, July 14, 2001, in Amarillo.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Colonial Chapel at Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors with the Rev. Gene Allen, retired gospel preacher, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
Mrs. Summers was born on May 23, 1920, at Denton County. She retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Co., after more than 30 years as manager of operator services.
Survivors include a daughter, Penny Summers of Hereford; a son, Steve Summers of Montgomery; two sisters, Peggy Fowler of Albuquerque, N.M., and Betty Bowen of Pampa; a brother, Paul Jenks of Austin; three grandsons; and four great-grandchildren.
