Paul graduated from UT in 1956 and retired from the Air Force on November 30, 1968. He had many hours in the air and was a command pilot when he retired. After his retirement, he worked at the UT Press, Calcasieu and developed software for doctors' offices during the 1980s. He traveled in an RV for about five years until he was diagnosed with a rare disease called Corticobasal Ganglionic Degeneration (CBGD). He had struggled with this disease since 1996.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 16, 2006 at Cook-Walden/Memorial Hill Cemetery in Austin.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions in Paul's name be made to the Parkinson's Foundation.
