Obituary
David Myers was born in Hocking County, Ohio where he lived until 1815, when he came to Iowa. He was married in Ohio and seven children were born in the home, three in Ohio, and four after coming to this state, five of whom are still living. In 1858 his wife passed from earth. In 1859 he was married to Mrs. Culbertson and to them one child was born. She died about twenty-one years ago. Mr. Myers died on July 4, 1898, at Lewisburg, aged eighty-ine years, two months and twenty-one days. The funeral services were held at Lewisburg school house, conducted by Rev. Griffith, of Humeston and he was laid to rest in the Lewisburg cemetery by the side of his grandson, David Myers.
