SERVICES: Memorial services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Chisholm United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Ramon Olson officiating. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service Friday at the church. Inurnment will follow in Chisholm Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to Chisholm United Methodist Church. Arrangements are by Rupp Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Chisholm.
Mary Ann Pospichal, 90, of Chisholm, died Sunday, April 18, 2004, in Heritage Manor Health Care Center in Chisholm.
She was born April 2, 1914, in Chisholm, to John and Mary (Detichak) Paznar. She was a 1933 graduate of Chisholm High School and moved to Chisholm from Fraser Location in 1953. Mary Ann was united in marriage on June 12, 1937, in Chisholm, to Aldrich J. Pospichal. She was a homemaker who loved to do volunteer work. She was a member of the Chisholm United Methodist Church, Taconite Chapter No. 217 O.E.S. of Chisholm, Balkan Senior Citizens and the Womens Auxiliary of the Shriners Hospital.
Survivors include her sister, Julie Jurkovich of Chisholm; nieces, Diana Kruchowski of Chisholm, Sandra Hurley, and Leslee Maki, both of Shoreview, Minn.; Marianne Clemens of Eagan, Minn.; nephew, Dan Jurkovich of Palm Desert, Calif.; 10 grandnieces and grandnephews, including her special caregiver, Julie Kruchowski-Olsen of Hibbing; four great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews; five special goddaughters, the Chase girls, Carletta, Shari, Anita, Alex and Vida; an aunt, Mathilda Buchar of Parkville; and numerous Pospichal nieces and nephews, especially Gloria, Joyce and Joe.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Aldrich on July 21, 1977; and brothers, Anton and T.Sgt. John Paznar.
