He was a democrat in politics, and belonged to the Methodist Episopal church his wife also being a member. He married July 6, 1817, Catherine GOODGE, born in Uniontown, Pennsylvania (then Beesontown), in a house that stood across the road from the present Grand Opera House, September 27, 1798, died April 20, 1884...

4. John G., born April 4, 1824; was a farmer of Dunbar township, married Eliza SOWER.
5. Elizabeth, born October 9, 1826; married Josiah REED, a tanner of Rostraver township, Westmoreland county, Pennsylvania.
6. James, born June 21, 1828 died January 24, 1842.
7. Wesley, born December 30, 1831; was a carpenter and justice of the peace of Dunbar, Pennsylvania; married Sarah NEWCOMER, of Lower Tyrone township.
8. Louis, born August 20, 1834, died December 25, 1854.
9. Henry, born August 12, 1837, died February 8, 1855. All the foregoing are deceased.
