Died, at the residence of her son-in-law, Reuben Queal, in Webster, Washtenaw County, Michigan February 2, 1886, Mrs. Patty Kenny, in the 94th year of her age.

Mrs. Kenny was the daughter of Dr. John Campbell, M.D. of Vermont, and was born February 21, 1792 in Putney, Windham County, Vermont. At her age of 22.January 12, 1814....was married to Munnis Kenny, with whom, 15 years after marriage, she moved to the then wilderness of Michigan, settling in the township of Webster, where she died as noted above. It has seemed to please her of to talk of her childhood days. Little incidents that have occurred in her father's family have been related with enthusiam. Her statements of them have been clear, and sometimes amusing, apparently a foretaste of the reunion which we trust has already taken place. On the walls of her home hangs a sampler which, on account of its neatness and unusual associations, is an object of great interest. In addition to beautiful floral designs and lettering, is the following inscription: "Putney, Vermont, July 16, 1800: Patty Campbell, born Feb. 21, 1792, aged 8 years." To this sprightly, bright little 8 years old girl we now pay our last tribute of respect; 86 additional years have brought her to old age and the grave. During these years much of joy and sorrow have crossed her pathway. She has been called upon during these years to bury all her family but two...the last one, Charles Henry, whom she called her baby boy, died Oct. 4, ,1882, aged 52 years; Jane, April 25, 1881, aged 56 years; Martha, Sept 8, 1855, aged 36; Keyes K., Dec 6, 1839, aged 25; Eliza, Jan 4, 1839, aged 22 years. Parted with her husband April 23, aged 75. So 23 years after the death of her husband our aged mother rests.
