Well Known Woman Passes Away After Several Years of Suffering
MRS. H. A. ORTBERG died Tuesday (November 6, 1928) afternoon at her home after a prolonged illness of several years. She was formerly Miss Freda Rankin of this place, and was united in marriage to H. A. Ortberg at Goodland in 1913. Three children were born to this union, two daughters, Marie and Bessie, and one son, William.
Due to ill health Mrs. Ortberg had been confined to her home for the past few years, but had many friends and acquaintances in Goodland and surrounding territory. Her husband, who is confined to the Rosedale hospital, at Kansas City, Kas., was unable to be here during her last illness.
Her husband and children, two brothers and four sisters besides other relatives and friends mourn her passing.
Funeral services were held at the Christian church Wednesday afternoon with the Rev. L. S. Dudley in charge and burial was made in the Goodland cemetery.
