Chilton Town Man Fatally Hurt When Hit While Walking

The victim was Joseph Neuber, 50 of Chilton, Route 1.
Neuber, who was walking along County F about six miles west of town, died instantly when he was hit by a car driven by Hugh Goggins, 21, also of Chilton, Route 1.

Mr. Neuber was born in the town of Stockbridge June 4, 1890, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Oswald Neuber. He attended schools in Kloten and took up farming, which he followed until his death.

He was married to Miss Violet Eickmeyer on May 1920 at Milwaukee.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Eliese Ross of Indianapolis, Ind., a brother, George of the town of Stockbridge, two sisters, Mrs. Mary Wettstein of Chilton and Mr4s. Julia Wettstein of the town of Stockbridge.

Funeral services were held at the Erbe-Hoffmann Funeral home with the Rev. Benedict Marx officiating. Burial was in St. Elizabeth’s cemetery, Kloten.
