Funeral services for Hazel Rush Lejeune will be at 1:30 pm, Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at the First Baptist Church, Bunkie, LA with Dr. LaMon Brown and Rev. David Trimbur officiating. Burial will follow in the Bayou Rouge Cemetery in Evergreen, LA under the direction of Melancon Funeral Home, Bunkie.

Mrs. Lejeune, age 90, of Bunkie, passed away on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at the Bayou Vista Manor Nursing Center.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church, was Past Worthy Matron Eureka Chapter #65 Eastern Star and loved to do hand work and loved being with family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Laura Rush and a brother, Thurwyn Rush.

She is survived by her husband of sixty-eight years, Daniel J. Lejeune of Bunkie; three daughters, Linda Long of Bunkie, Gaye Richard and husband, Benny, of Cheneyville and Lori Setliff and husband, Stanley, of Forest Hill; one son, Danny Wayne Lejeune and wife, Nanette, of New Iberia; one sister, Nelwyn R. Nagel of Keller, TX; eleven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.

Visitation will be at Melancon Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 from 10 am -12 noon and at the First Baptist Church from 12:30 pm until service time.
