Marjorie H. Allstot, 67, a former child care provider, died Thursday, Jan. 30, 1997, at McKennan Hospital.
Marjorie H. Hillerud was born April 25, 1929, in Brookings County.
She spent her early years and received her education in rural Brookings County. She married William 'Bill' Allstot on May 17, 1951 in Clear Lake. They lived in Brookings until 1956, when they moved to Los Angeles, California. They moved back to Brookings in 1962, where she did child care for many years. They moved to Elkton in 1993.
In addition to her husband, survivors include two daughters: Barbara Frevert and Patty Wollan, both of Aurora, Colorado; one son, Ronald Allstot of Brookings; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; four sisters: Inga Bolte of Luverne, Minn.; Mable Moulton of Sioux Falls; Evelyn Egeberg of Brookings; and Ollie Alstot of Forest Grove, Oregon; and three brothers, Henry of Brookings; John of White; and Albert of Forrest Grove, Oregon.
Services begin at 11 a.m. Monday at Rude's Funeral Home in Brookings, with burial in Fairlawn Cemetery in Aurora.
Visitation begins Sunday from 2 to 5 at the funeral home and prior to the services.
