Tillie (Vine) Vascovitz, 96
PROVIDENCE – Tillie Vascovitz, a resident of Pawtucket before moving to Providence a decade ago, died Feb. 23. She was the wife of the late Meyer Vascovitz. Born in Central Falls, she was a daughter of the late Morris and Bessie (Hazen) Vine, both of Poland.
She was a summa cum laude graduate of Bryant College, and worked at the New York Lace Store as a bookkeeper for many years. After retiring, she volunteered at The Miriam Hospital for more than 30 years.
She is survived by her son Josef of Washington, her grandsons Michael and Kyle of Boston, and her brother Leo Vine of Connecticut. She was the sister of the late Victor Vine.
