Mrs. Ruth Andrick, 69, of Rt. 2, Palestine, died Saturday afternoon, February 24, in St. Joseph's Hospital, Parkersburg, following an extended illness.

Born in Wirt County on Sept. 6, 1898, a daughter of the late Everett and Laverna Courtney Somerville, she was a member of the PeeWee Homemakers Club, the Pisgah Methodist Church, and the W.S.C.S. organization of the church. She was a pleasant and sincere woman and a good community worker, holding interest in and being active in a variety of affairs during recent years.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Harold (Lucy) Sullivan, of Milton; two sons, Preston Andrick, Rt. 2, Palestine, and Leo Andrick, New Cumberland, Pa.; three sisters, Mrs. Clarice Hawkins, Fairmont, Mrs. Edna Givens, Rt. 2, Palestine, and Mrs. Nina Hall, Charleston; one brother, Robert Somerville, of Washington, W.Va.; eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Freddie Andrick, who passed away in 1959.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Pisgah Methodist Church with the Rev. Amos McVey, Jr., and the Rev. Paul Higgins officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery. McCray Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
