Obituary:
Graveside services for Helen Rietz, 89, of Sallisaw, are being held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Sallisaw City Cemetery Gazebo, with Rev. Monroe Lowrimore officiating, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. Rietz was born on May 5, 1913, in Iberia, Mo. She died Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2002, in Sallisaw.
She was the owner and operator of Rietz Turkey Farm and of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include a granddaughter Karen Baldwin and great-grandson William Baldwin. Also special friends, Phil and Mary Nowlin and Bob Nowlin, all of Sallisaw, Jan Green of Muskogee, and Bill Nowlin of Tahlequah; and her caregiver, Rita Martin of Sallisaw.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John R. Rietz on Feb. 9, 1975; and by one son, Robert Reed.
