Visitation will be from 10 - 11:30 a.m., on Saturday, March 24th, 2012 in the Chapel of Stasi-Grove Funeral Home in Olney. The funeral service will follow immediately thereafter.
Maurice was born on January 4th, 1931, in Olney, the son of Leo G. and Dorothy M. (Seesengood) Herman. He later married Joanne Rapp in October 1957; she survives.
Maurice was a member of Faith Bible Church in Olney, a member of the Clay City Lions Club, a member of the County Line Antique Tractor Club and an avid steam locomotive collector. He will be sadly missed by his family, friends, church family and all who knew him.
Maurice is survived by his wife of 54 years, Joann Herman; sons, Arnold Herman, Allen Herman, Albert Herman, Earl (Amy) Herman and his wife, Amy; daughter, Ellen Dasch and her husband, Steve of Noble, Illinois, brother Arthur Herman; sister, Betty Chamberlin and her husband Dudley and 8 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 sisters, Virginia Kuehl, Mary Cantrell and Dorothy Louise Herman and 1 brother, Leo Leroy Herman. Memorials may be made out to Faith Bible Church in memory of Maurice Herman.
