Well Known Resident of City Passes

Mrs. Margaret Evans, Wife of Rev. E.E. Evans Passed Away Thursday

Mrs. Margaret Evans, wife of the Rev. Elmer E. Evans, passed away at the family residence, 130 South Tenth Street, Thursday morning at seven o'clock, after an illness of long duration.

Mrs. Evans was born in Pittsburgh, Pa. July 2, 1874, and for a number of years she and Mr. Evans resided at Jeanette, Pa., moving to this city in 1906. Mr. Evans is serving as pastor of the Farmersville Baptist Church.

She was a devout member of the First Baptist Church, this city and also the Women's Benefit Association.

Besides her husband, she is survived by four sons, Wilford F. Evans, Zilonople, Pa.; Raymond A. Evans, Utica, N.Y.; Howard C.D. Evans, Portville; E. Roy Evans, Wellsville; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Florence Evans, Bradford; her mother, Mrs. Mary MacDowell, Jeannette, Pa.; one sister, Mrs. Bertha Dunn, Jeanette, Pa.; two brothers, the Rev. Thomas MacDowell, Lakeland, Fla.; Harry MacDowell, Winterhaven, Fla.; also nine grandchildren.

Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
