Back in the early 1970's, Senen Luciano met a beautiful young women from Mohegan Avenue (the Bronx) named, Dolores "Loly" Sanchez at the Adjuntas Social Club on East Tremont Ave in the Bronx. They fell in love and lived together for many years, along with her four children (Tony, Willie, Aramis & Annette). As a joke, Senen Luciano was nicknamed "Lucky" by his co-workers, after the well-known mafia figure Charles "Lucky" Luciano.

Every Sunday Lucky would pick-up the entire family early in the morning in his van and would take us fishing, to the beach, amusement parks or just for a picnic. The family would play softball or enjoy a few laughs and it was just fun. We have many photographs of Lucky at different family outings and it just proves that he was very much part of the family and we will all miss him dearly.

On the news of Lucky's passing in 2002, it was a sad day for the Sanchez and Vargas family in New York, especially for Annette, who held a special bond for her step-father Lucky. The Vargas/Sanchez family had already suffered a major blow with the passing of Andres Vargas that same year and to hear that another beloved family member had passed was even more tragic.

On the same week of his passing, his step-daughter and step-son, Annette and Willie, flew to Puerto Rico to bid a sad and final farewell to the man they called, "Dad."

Senen "Lucky" Luciano will be remembered by every single one of us, especially by his step-daughter Annette ("Pinky") & his step-son Willie (who Lucky would sometimes call, "Weewee").

This memorial is dedicated to him by the whole entire Vargas/Sanchez family.

Thanks for the memories UNCLE.

Beloved husband, father, brother, uncle & friend.
