Rennett Josephine, daughter of Christopher and Frances Bigleman, was born August 15, 1833, at Mulsonburg, Clearfield County, (now Frenchville) and lived her entire life in that community.
June 21, 1858, she was united in marriage with James Hugar, also of Mulsonburg, and to this union nine children were born, viz.: Lucy, wife of the late J.S. Briel, of Karthaus; Auntreel and John, deceased; Angeline, wife of Victor Renaud, of Karthaus; Carolin, wife of the late J.I. Murray, of Goshen Towhship; Ida, deaceased; Joseph, married to margaret Lacey, of Renova; Fred, deceased, and Edmund, Married to Nell Fowler, of Renova.
She is also survived by 36 grandchildren and 52 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Hugar departed this life on October 19, 1925 of the infirmaties of old age, aged 92 years. Funeral services and interment at Frenchville.
"Grandmother", as she was lovingly known, will be sadly missed by a large circle of friends and many whom she has befriended by lending a helping hand in sickness and death or at whatever was needed of her.
The following grandsons served as pall bearers: J.J. Briel, James and William Renaud, John and James Hugar and Irvin Murray.
